Promptchan vs Secret Stars: which one fits you? (2026)

Promptchan

VS

Secret Stars

Promptchan and Secret Stars get lumped together in every "best AI girlfriend" list, which is lazy — they're built for different people. Here's the actual split.

Side by side

Data collected 2026-10-08; prices and features change — check each product's own site for current terms. Items marked "unconfirmed" could not be verified from official sources.

If you only read one section, read this one:

Choose Promptchan if…

• You want live voice calls, image generation and video generation. Secret Stars doesn't verifiably offer these.
• You want NSFW without workarounds: Secret Stars's NSFW policy is unconfirmed.
• An AI image and video generator for adult content in realistic and anime styles, paired with AI girlfriend chat, voice calls and a large community gallery.

Choose Secret Stars if…

• AI Tinder — swipe, match and chat with realistic and anime AI girlfriends on web or inside Telegram.

Pricing, in plain numbers

Promptchan's verified entry price is $14.99/mo (as of 2026-10-08). Secret Stars does not publish pricing publicly, so we mark it unconfirmed rather than guessing. Watch for token systems and add-ons on both sides: the sticker price is rarely the whole bill in this category.

NSFW policy

Promptchan allows NSFW content. The site still publishes an 'AI Porn Affiliate Program' guide linked from the homepage. As of 2026-10-08 the homepage copy no longer uses the earlier 'Hardcore XL' and 'no-filter' wording. The official Content Moderation Policy bans CSAM (including AI-generated), non-consensual deepfake/intimate imagery, bestiality and extreme graphic violence, with possible referral to law enforcement. Secret Stars's NSFW policy is unconfirmed. Terms state the Service is 'intended for adult audiences only' (18+) and ban content that sexualizes minors or depicts non-consensual acts; the homepage invites users to design 'her fetishes'. FAQ states all characters are entirely fictional and AI-generated. No explicit statement on whether sexual/NSFW chat or images are allowed was found.

How this comparison was built

How this comparison was built — the boring part that makes the rest trustworthy: every price and policy above was pulled from an official source where possible, dated, and marked unconfirmed where it wasn't verifiable. We don't invent weaknesses and we don't claim hands-on testing we haven't done. Full rules: editorial policy.
